Calamity

A western platformer built using ImpactJS that’s been integrated with a custom version of Box2D. The game features AI that’s able to traverse the environment through a walk-ability graph built at runtime, a basic cover system for the player, bullet time, plus standard platforming features such as health pickups and reloading.

This project also features the first time I worked with contractors to improve the asset quality, including hiring a character sprite artist for the enemies and player sprites plus a second pixel artist for much of the indoor spaces.

The game won a Runner-Up award for the Web Only portion of the Mozilla Game-On competition.
